Invitation for Views on Smart City Blueprint for HK by the Government Chief Information Officer
08 Aug 2017The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer commissioned a consultant to study on the formulation of the overall development framework of the Hong Kong Smart City Blueprint. The consultant submitted the report to the Government in late June 2017. The full report and the executive summary have been uploaded to the dedicated portal (http://www.smartcity.gov.hk) for access by the public. HKTA members are invited to give views on the recommendations made in the report on or before 30 September 2017.
The consultant developed recommendations covering six areas, namely "Smart Mobility", "Smart Living", "Smart Environment", "Smart People", "Smart Government" and "Smart Economy".
HKTA members are invited to submit, through the dedicated portal, views on the recommendations of the report. Views may also be sent by email to [email protected].
To further collect views on the recommendations of the report, a series of engagement meetings for the stakeholders including the major ICT professionals and industry bodies as well as various business and industry sectors, will be arranged in August and September 2017. They will take into consideration views collected in order to formulate a smart city blueprint for Hong Kong.
