Invitation to participate in the Summer Internship Programme - Participating Employers Briefing

Launched in 2016, the WAM Pilot Programme aims to facilitate the long-term sustainable development of the asset and wealth management sector by attracting new blood and enhancing the professional competency of the sector. The key three key initiatives, namely Summer Internship Programme, Financial Incentive Scheme andPromotion and Education, are designed for undergraduate students and financial services practitioners. Please note that the program has been extended to 2022-23 and eligible WAM companies now also include trust companies that are: a. A trust company registered under Part 8 of the Trustee Ordinance (Cap 29) b. A trustee approved by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance (Cap .485) c. A TCSP (trust or company service provider) licensed by the Companies Registry under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance (Cap. 615)
Summer Internship Programme (SIP) to provide relevant WAM experiences SIP has been well received by participating employers (PEs) and students. Over 4,600+ undergraduates applied for 420+ internship positions offered by WAM PEs in the past years. SIP 2021 cycle will start soon. The HKSI will organise two PE briefing sessions on 27 November 2020 (Cantonese) and 1 December 2020 (English) from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for those who are interested in SIP 2021 or may wish to offer WAM relevant internship positions.
